Screen vs. Print Quality
This is the view from the visitor center of the famous east and west mittens and the Merrick butte at Monument Valley. Easily recognizeable from the John Ford westerns that featured John Wayne as the star. The building itself is not much of an architectural wonder so if I had to guess then this view is a happy accident. Standing at a certain distance with the right focal length lens the desert formations frame themselves perfectly in the windows. Monument Valley is on a Navajo Indian Reservation that straddles the Arizona/Utah border and is the definitive picture of the American Southwest.
