One of my favorite techniques in photography is to move the camera during the time the shutter is open, to achieve an intentional blur of the scene before me.  I used this technique in a woods near Chelsea, Michigan to create  an abstract of some white Birch trunks, and then added impressionistic leaves with Photoshop brushes.
