Screen vs. Print Quality
Lupines are wildflowers found throughout the entire United States, but only the Blue Lupine (Lupinus perennis) is found in abundance in the North Eastern United States. This field of flowers was in an abandoned lot not far from Acadia National Park in Maine. As much of Maine is undeveloped, whole fields of wildflowers are often seen. Wildflowers, such as Lupines, sometimes look much more attractive in their abundance; so rather than selecting one or two for a close-up composition, I decided to use a wide-angle panoramic camera for this image. The soft light and saturated colors of the scene follow on from an early morning rain shower.
