The computer scanner yields images with an almost 3D effect to them due to the nature of the medium, with the very shallow depth of field bringing the close-up surfaces into sharp detail and the background fading gently into the distance. This can mean that large flowers are off-limits -- unless you try some different approaches such as in this piece, carefully slicing the flowers in two and enjoying them from a rather different perspective.
The prints are made using Epson Premium Luster photo paper with an Epson 9800 printer and K3 Photo Black inks. The paper and inks are archival quality independently rated to last 70 years.
