Monterey, California is home to an often photographed tree, the Lone Cypress. This is not it. The Lone Cypress, called such as it grows by itself on an outcropping of rock jutting up from the sea, was not very visible due to fog. This image was taken of another Cypress growing on the cliffs above the shore. The fog made the scene all the more mysterious.
